Clinicians:
- Are licensed in the states where patients are located
- Practice within applicable telehealth laws
- Deliver care under clinical governance and medical oversight
Where We Provide Care
Clara provides virtual medical care only to patients located in states where our clinicians are licensed and authorized to practice telehealth.
Care is not provided outside of these jurisdictions.

What We Do Not Provide

- Emergency or urgent emergency care
- Mental health crisis services
- In-person medical services
- Guaranteed diagnoses, treatments, or prescriptions

How Care Works
- Patients securely share health information through the Clara platform
- A licensed clinician reviews the information
- Care is delivered via secure messaging and/or video visits as appropriate
- All medical decisions are made by licensed clinicians using professional judgment
- Follow-up instructions, care plans, or referrals are provided when appropriate
Use of AI-Assisted Tools
Clara uses AI-assisted tools to support aspects of care delivery, including:
- Clinical documentation support
- Intake and triage assistance
- Clinical decision support workflows
Safeguards:
- AI tools do not diagnose or prescribe
- AI tools do not replace licensed clinicians
- All medical decisions are reviewed and approved by licensed clinicians
Prescriptions & Medications
When clinically appropriate, licensed clinicians may prescribe medications as part of a patient's care plan.
- Prescriptions are not guaranteed
- Prescribing decisions are based on medical necessity
- Certain medications may not be appropriate for virtual care
Pricing & Payment
Clara is a cash-pay medical service.
- Pricing is disclosed before care is delivered
- Fees may vary depending on the service provided
- Subscription or membership options may be offered
